Adrian Brooks, Q.C.

Adrian graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1981 and has been called to the British Columbia Bar (1984) and to the Ontario Bar (1983). He articled with Edward Greenspan, Q.C., in Toronto and Dermod Owen-Flood, Q.C., in Victoria.

Adrian practices almost exclusively in criminal law including trials, appeals and appearances in the Supreme Court of Canada. He also finds time to teach courses in law of evidence at the University of Victoria Law School and has lectured for the Continuing Legal Education Society, the Professional Legal Training Centre and has appeared in Ottawa on behalf of the Canadian Bar Association at the Standing Committee on Justice regarding Criminal Code amendments.

Adrian's publications include an article in The Advocate and a chapter in a Biography of Albert "Ginger" Goodwin. Adrian was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 2005.
